Discover Himachal from Chandigarh

This Himachal Adventure Tour package brings together Shimla’s heritage streets, the Kullu Valley around Manali, and Dharamshala’s forested slopes and Tibetan cultural landmarks. The eight-day loop gives you time for sightseeing between longer road journeys.

Start with two nights in Shimla, including a Kufri excursion. Continue to Manali for three nights, with a local sightseeing day and Solang Valley visit. Finish with two nights in Dharamshala and explore McLeod Ganj before returning to Chandigarh.

Highlights of the route

  • Shimla’s Ridge, Mall Road and the hills around Kufri.
  • Manali’s temples, village surroundings and markets.
  • Optional Solang Valley activities according to conditions.
  • McLeod Ganj, Bhagsunag and St. John in the Wilderness.
  • Hotel and transport choices to discuss for your dates.

Multi-day treks and destinations outside this loop require a separate extension. Compare our India tour packages and Himalayan treks to combine experiences.

MAKE THE DETAILS CLEAR

Best time, package cost and travel planning

When to travel

Spring and early summer suit sightseeing; autumn offers another useful window. Winter brings colder temperatures and possible snow in higher areas, with access dependent on road conditions.

Monsoon rain can affect mountain roads and activities. Ask about conditions for your dates and keep plans flexible. Read Himachal Tourism’s Manali guide for regional information.

Price and inclusions

Himachal tour package cost is on request. Ask for a written breakdown of:

  • Hotel names, rooms and the seven-night stay plan.
  • Vehicle type, transfers and sightseeing.
  • Meals, driver expenses, parking and applicable taxes.
  • Tickets and selected adventure activities.
  • Extra excursions, payments and cancellation terms.

Activities and trek extensions

Kufri and Solang Valley activities depend on local operators and weather. Fees are separate unless stated otherwise. Ask for a separate quote for Atal Tunnel or Rohtang arrangements.

For more walking, explore our guided trekking options and add the extra days required. A trek extension changes the route and package details.

Comfort on mountain roads

Pack layers, a warm jacket, rain protection, comfortable shoes and sun protection. Bring identity documents requested for hotels or permitted excursions.

Expect winding roads and several full transfer days. Share mobility needs, children’s ages and your preferred pace. Allow rest stops and a generous buffer before your return flight or train.
