Your booking confirmation or quotation will specify the applicable advance payment and balance-payment requirements.
Payments may be accepted through payment methods communicated by Manu Adventures India.

7. Cancellation or Changes by Manu Adventures India
Adventure and mountain travel can be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Manu Adventures India may modify, postpone, reroute, shorten or cancel part of an itinerary where reasonably necessary because of:
Severe weather
Heavy rainfall
Snowfall
Landslides
Unsafe trail conditions
Road closures
Natural disasters
Government restrictions
Forest department regulations
Local authority instructions
Transportation disruption
Safety concerns
Other circumstances beyond our reasonable control
Where practical, we will make reasonable efforts to offer a suitable alternative.
Any refund will depend on the circumstances and on costs already incurred or committed to guides, hotels, transport operators, permits and other suppliers.
8. Himalayan Weather & Trail Conditions
The Himalayan environment is naturally unpredictable.
Weather and trail conditions can change rapidly. Rain, snowfall, fog, thunderstorms, high winds, landslides and other natural conditions can affect trekking routes.
For safety reasons, your trek leader or Manu Adventures India operations team may change:
Trekking routes
Campsites
Departure times
Walking schedules
Activities
Transportation arrangements
Safety considerations take priority over completing a particular itinerary.
9. Trekking & Adventure Risks
Trekking, hiking, camping and other outdoor activities involve inherent risks.
These can include:
Steep or uneven terrain
Slippery trails
Falling rocks
River crossings
Snow and ice
Altitude
Changing weather
Landslides
Wildlife
Remote terrain
Limited communication
Delayed access to medical facilities
Participation is voluntary.
Travellers acknowledge that reasonable safety measures cannot completely eliminate the inherent risks associated with mountain and adventure travel.
10. Health & Fitness
Travellers are responsible for selecting a trek or activity appropriate for their physical ability and experience.
Difficulty ratings on our website are general guidelines.
Actual difficulty can vary depending on:
Weather
Altitude
Trail conditions
Fitness
Age
Trekking experience
Backpack weight
Walking pace
If you have concerns regarding your ability to participate, you should obtain appropriate professional medical advice before travelling.
11. High-Altitude Trekking
Some of our trekking routes travel to high-altitude areas.
Altitude can affect people differently regardless of fitness or previous trekking experience.
Travellers must follow reasonable acclimatisation and safety instructions provided by their guide.
If a guide believes that continuing to a higher altitude could present an unacceptable safety risk, the traveller may be required to descend or modify the itinerary.
12. Medical Information
Information provided by Manu Adventures India regarding trekking preparation, altitude, hydration, fitness or first aid is general information only.
It should not be considered a substitute for professional medical advice.
Travellers should seek advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional regarding medical conditions, medications, vaccinations or fitness concerns.
13. Guide & Trek Leader Decisions
During a trek or adventure activity, travellers must follow reasonable safety instructions provided by their guide or trek leader.
The guide may modify or stop an activity when necessary because of:
Weather
Trail conditions
Participant health or wellbeing
Equipment issues
Local restrictions
Other safety concerns
The guide’s safety decision must be respected.
14. Summit, Pass & Destination Completion
Booking a trek does not guarantee reaching a particular summit, mountain pass, glacier, lake, campsite or other destination.
Weather, trail conditions, altitude, participant wellbeing and other factors may prevent completion of the planned route.
Safety takes priority over reaching a specific destination.
15. Accommodation
Hotels, campsites, guesthouses and homestays mentioned in itineraries are subject to availability.
Where a specifically named accommodation is unavailable, we may arrange an appropriate alternative wherever reasonably possible.
Hotel standards, facilities and classifications vary between destinations and are ultimately controlled by the individual accommodation provider.
16. Camping Accommodation
Camping conditions in remote Himalayan locations differ from hotel accommodation.
Depending on the package, camping arrangements may include tents, sleeping bags, mattresses, meals and other specified facilities.
Facilities such as electricity, mobile coverage, hot water, permanent toilets and Wi-Fi may be limited or unavailable in remote areas.
Travellers should review the inclusions for their specific trekking package before booking.
17. Transportation
Driving times and arrival times stated in itineraries are approximate.
Actual travel times may be affected by:
Traffic
Mountain roads
Weather

Manu Adventures India cannot guarantee exact journey or arrival times when delays result from circumstances outside our reasonable control.
18. Third-Party Services
Some services may be provided by independent suppliers, including:
Hotels
Airlines
Railway operators
Transport companies
Activity operators
Restaurants
Local service providers
Permit authorities
These services may be governed by the respective provider’s own terms, cancellation policies and operating conditions.
Manu Adventures India will make reasonable efforts to coordinate these services but cannot control every action, delay or service failure of independent providers.
19. Passports, Visas & Permits
Travellers are responsible for ensuring they have valid passports, visas and other travel documentation required for their trip.
Certain trekking routes and destinations may require permits or government identification.
Where Manu Adventures India arranges a permit on your behalf, you must provide accurate documentation within the requested timeframe.

Depending on your itinerary, consider insurance providing appropriate coverage for:

Local communities
Other travellers
Wildlife
The natural environment
We reserve the right to take appropriate action where a participant’s behaviour creates a serious safety risk, causes significant disruption, damages property or threatens another person.
23. Alcohol & Substance Use
Travellers must not participate in trekking or adventure activities while impaired by alcohol or other substances in a manner that creates a safety risk.
