Cancellation & Refund Policy – Manu Adventures India
At Manu Adventures India, we understand that travel plans can sometimes change unexpectedly. Our Cancellation & Refund Policy is designed to clearly explain the conditions that apply when you cancel a trek, tour, hiking trip, camping experience or other travel service booked with us.
By confirming a booking and making payment to Manu Adventures India, you acknowledge and agree to the cancellation and refund conditions described below.
Cancellation Policy for Treks & Tours
If you need to cancel your confirmed trek or tour, please inform Manu Adventures India in writing as soon as possible.
Unless different cancellation conditions are specifically mentioned for your package, the following policy applies:

-
Less than 20 days before the start date: No refund.
-
No-show: No refund.
-
One-day treks, day hikes and sightseeing tours: Non-refundable once confirmed.
The cancellation date will be considered the date on which Manu Adventures India receives the written cancellation request.
Refunds for Hotels, Flights, Trains & Third-Party Services
Many customised India tours include services provided by third parties, including:
-
Hotels and resorts
-
Flights
-
Train tickets

Cancellation charges for these services will be determined according to the individual cancellation policies of the respective hotel, airline, railway, transport provider or other supplier.
Any non-refundable amount charged by a third-party supplier cannot be refunded by Manu Adventures India.
Booking, processing or service charges already incurred while arranging or cancelling third-party services may also be deducted from the final refund.
One-Day Treks, Hikes & Sightseeing Tours
Bookings for one-day treks, guided hikes, local sightseeing tours and similar short-duration activities are non-refundable once confirmed.
This is because guides, transportation, permits and other operational arrangements may be reserved specifically for your booking.
Weather & Mountain Conditions
The Himalayas are a natural mountain environment, and weather conditions can change quickly.
For the safety of our guests, Manu Adventures India may modify:
-
Trekking routes
-
Campsites
-
Departure times
-
Daily itineraries
-
Activities
-
Transport arrangements
Changes may be necessary because of heavy rain, snowfall, landslides, trail conditions, road closures, government restrictions, forest department instructions or other safety concerns.
Where possible, our team will make reasonable efforts to provide a suitable alternative arrangement.
A change in itinerary made for operational or safety reasons does not automatically qualify for a refund.
Cancellation Due to Unsafe Conditions
Guest safety is our priority.
If weather, trail conditions, government restrictions or another situation makes the original itinerary unsafe or impractical, Manu Adventures India reserves the right to modify, postpone, shorten or reroute the itinerary.
Our guides and operations team will assess conditions based on the information available at the time.
Any refund or alternative arrangement will depend on the circumstances and on expenses that have already been incurred for guides, accommodation, permits, transportation, food, equipment and third-party services.
Unused Services
No refund will normally be provided for services that a traveller voluntarily chooses not to use after the trek or tour has started.
This may include unused:
-
Accommodation
-
Meals
-

-
Trekking days
-

-
Activities
-
Guide services
-
Camping arrangements
If a traveller leaves a trek or tour early for personal reasons, illness, change of plans or other circumstances outside the control of Manu Adventures India, expenses for additional transportation, accommodation or other services will normally be the traveller’s responsibility.
