DAY 01

Jammu arrival · Transfer to Katra

Meet our team in Jammu and transfer to Katra. Check in to your hotel and use the rest of the day to settle in and prepare for the pilgrimage. Overnight in Katra.

DAY 02

Mata Vaishno Devi darshan

Set aside the day for your Vaishno Devi yatra from Katra. Allow time for registration, the uphill journey, darshan queues and the return. Walking time varies with your pace and the conditions. Overnight in Katra.

DAY 03

Katra to Patnitop

Continue to Patnitop for a change of scenery after the pilgrimage. The planned sightseeing includes Nag Temple and Nathatop, subject to local access and time. Overnight in Patnitop.

DAY 04

Patnitop to Pahalgam

Travel into Kashmir and continue to Pahalgam. Discuss local excursions such as Betaab Valley and Chandanwari with your trip coordinator. Local transport, pony rides and rafting are additional where applicable. Overnight in Pahalgam.

DAY 05

Pahalgam to Gulmarg

After breakfast, depart for Gulmarg. Enjoy the changing scenery along the route and time to explore the destination on arrival. Ask about the available sightseeing options when finalising your quote.

DAY 06

Gulmarg to Srinagar · Houseboat stay

Spend time around Gulmarg’s meadows before continuing to Srinagar. Pony rides and the Gondola are optional and separately charged. Enjoy an overnight houseboat stay in Srinagar, with the final accommodation plan confirmed in your quote.

DAY 07

Srinagar sightseeing · Dal Lake shikara

Explore Srinagar’s planned sights, including Shankaracharya Temple, Chashme Shahi, Nishat and Shalimar gardens, as access and timing allow. Enjoy the included one-hour shikara ride on Dal Lake. Overnight in Srinagar.

DAY 08

Sonamarg excursion · Return to Srinagar

Set out on a day excursion to Sonamarg. Enjoy the valley scenery and discuss optional local activities with your coordinator. A Thajiwas Glacier excursion or pony ride costs extra and depends on local access. Return to Srinagar for the night.

DAY 09

Srinagar departure

Transfer to Srinagar Airport for your onward journey, as arranged in your itinerary. Share your flight details before booking so the team can confirm the transfer arrangements and departure timing.

Before your pilgrimage

Register for the yatra and collect the RFID Yatra Access Card before starting. Check the official Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board registration guidance for current instructions.

Allow time for the uphill journey, darshan queues and the return. Tell us about your group’s walking preferences and mobility requirements when enquiring.

Getting here & heading home

The tour starts in Jammu and ends at Srinagar Airport. Share your arrival and departure details with us before purchasing travel tickets. A Katra pickup or an alternative departure arrangement should be agreed separately.

Mountain journeys require flexibility. Local access, weather and operating conditions can affect optional activities and the daily schedule.

How long is the Vaishno Devi with Kashmir tour?

The tour lasts 8 nights and 9 days. It starts with arrival in Jammu, includes two nights in Katra for the pilgrimage, and finishes in Srinagar.

What is the package price?

The tour is priced on request. Your quote depends on travel dates, group size, room sharing, hotel category, vehicle and any customisations. Request a written quote with the accommodation plan and itemised inclusions before confirming.

Are helicopter tickets and the Gulmarg Gondola included?

No. These tickets are not included in this package. Services require separate arrangements and depend on availability, weather and the operator’s current rules. Do not assume a tour booking guarantees a ticket.

Is the shikara ride included?

Yes. Your package includes one shikara ride of one hour. Confirm the boat arrangements for your group when requesting your quote.

Can we customise the tour for our family?

Yes, customisation is available. Share your preferred dates, group size, room preferences and any requirements for the Katra pilgrimage so the team can propose an appropriate schedule.

What should I pack?

Bring comfortable walking shoes, layers for changing temperatures, rain protection and a small day bag. Choose clothing for your travel dates and planned activities, and check the forecast and current Shrine Board guidance before departure.
