Kundli Pass Trek

About Jalsu Pass :

Altitude: 4,550 m
Region: Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh
Duration: 4 Days / 3 Nights
Difficulty Level: Moderate to Challenging
Best Season: May to June & September to October

The Kundli Pass Trek is one of the most spectacular yet lesser-known treks in the Dhauladhar range of Himachal Pradesh. Towering high at 4,550 meters, the pass connects the Kangra Valley with Chamba Valley, offering some of the most breathtaking mountain views and raw Himalayan wilderness. Unlike the popular Triund or Kareri Lake treks, this route remains untouched by mass tourism, making it ideal for trekkers seeking solitude and an authentic Himalayan adventure.

The trek starts with a short drive from Dharamsala to Khaniyara, followed by a gradual ascent through dense pine forests and local Gaddi settlements. As you gain altitude, the scenery transforms dramatically—green meadows, waterfalls, and wildflowers give way to rocky trails and vast alpine landscapes. The highlight of the journey is crossing the Kundli Pass, where you are greeted with panoramic views of snow-clad peaks stretching endlessly across the horizon.

Every step of this journey connects you deeper with nature. You’ll meet Gaddi shepherds tending their flocks, camp in remote meadows under a canopy of stars, and experience the ever-changing colors of the Dhauladhar.
This trek is a true Himalayan escape—raw, real, and rejuvenating.
