Meeting point Bhagsunag 9:45 am. The route goes via Dharamkot to Gallu temple for Triund. It is a steep ascent for 4 hours through a mixed forest of oak, rhododendron and deodar trees to Triund. Then comes the Magic view which is one of the oldest chai shop and a midway to Triund where one can stop for some refreshments and it is a lovely selfie point. From here the trail gets steeper and the last 45 minutes has 22 turns and twists which makes the trail more interesting. After trekking for another 2 hours we arrive at Triund and check in our camps. Triund is an alpine meadow situated on top of a ridge from where we have superb views of the peaks of Dhauladhar Mountain on one side and Kangra valley on the other. Watching the Sunset from Triund top is perhaps the main highlight of the trek. Later we enjoy our dinner near the bonfire and spend time under the starlit sky. Overnight stay at camp. Dinner with a bonfire in the evening.
Wake up early to witness a spectacular Himalayan sunrise from Triund, where the first golden rays of the sun emerge from behind the towering Dhauladhar ranges. As daylight spreads, the entire Kangra Valley is bathed in warm hues, creating a truly magical and unforgettable sight—perfect for photography and quiet moments in nature. After enjoying an early breakfast at Triund, begin your downhill trek towards Bhagsu Nag, a scenic descent that takes approximately 3 to 4 hours. The trail passes through dense oak and rhododendron forests and offers stunning valley views throughout the walk. En route, stop at the refreshing Bhagsu Waterfall, one of the most popular natural attractions near McLeod Ganj. The trek concludes at Bhagsu Nag, from where you will be driven to your next destination, marking the end of this memorable Himalayan trekking experience.
