Bhagsunag is a village area near McLeod Ganj with guesthouses, cafés and walking routes. The lanes and paths can be steep, so confirm your property’s exact location and vehicle access. A short distance on a map does not always mean an easy walk with luggage.
Bhagsunag Temple is an important local religious place with traditions and legends associated with it. Treat local stories as tradition rather than verified history. Follow instructions about shoes, photography and access, and give worshippers space.
Consider the waterfall walk only when the route and weather are suitable. Expect steps and uneven ground, wear shoes with grip and keep away from fast water and exposed edges. Rain can change the conditions quickly. Do not continue merely because another visitor is doing so.
