A Memorable 12-Day North India Journey with Manu Adventures India

A Memorable Trip Across Amritsar, Dharamsala, Delhi, Jaipur & Agra
By Sharon Elizabeth

Travel is not just about visiting places—it’s about the people you meet, the moments you share, and the memories that stay with you long after the journey is over. This belief came to life for us recently when my wife, our two kids, and I embarked on an 11 nights / 12 days tour with Manu Adventures India. Our journey took us across some of the most culturally rich and historically significant destinations in North India—Amritsar, Dharamsala, Delhi, Jaipur, and Agra.

What made this trip extraordinary was not just the beauty of these places, but the way everything was planned and taken care of for us. Manu Adventures India ensured that every single day was smooth, enjoyable, and stress-free. From perfect hotel arrangements to comfortable transportation and well-timed sightseeing, it felt like everything was designed around our family’s comfort and happiness.

Traveling with kids can sometimes be challenging, but the team made it incredibly easy. They were patient, flexible, and always attentive to our needs—whether it was adjusting timings, suggesting kid-friendly spots, or making sure we had enough rest between activities. We never felt rushed or confused; instead, we felt relaxed and excited, knowing everything was in experienced hands.

A very special mention goes to Mr. Manu, whose warm personality and dedication truly impressed us. He guided us like a friend, checked on us regularly, responded instantly to every query, and ensured we felt safe and well taken care of at all times. His deep knowledge of the region, helpful suggestions, and genuine hospitality made a huge difference in our journey.

Looking back, I can honestly say—this was one of the most memorable trips of our lives. Not just because of the places we saw, but because of the way Manu Adventures India made us feel throughout the journey: welcomed, comfortable, and valued.

Below is my detailed account of this wonderful family adventure—an experience that we will cherish forever.

Day 1–2: Amritsar – A Warm Welcome to Punjab

Our trip began in Amritsar, a city that beautifully blends spirituality and history. Right from the airport, the service of Manu Adventures India was excellent. We were received warmly, transported comfortably, and guided with care.

The highlight, of course, was the iconic Golden Temple. Visiting this sacred place with my wife during the evening prayers was a spiritual experience beyond words. The shimmering reflection of the temple on the holy water, the peaceful atmosphere, and the kindness of volunteers made us feel blessed.

We also visited the Jallianwala Bagh, a moving reminder of India’s history, and witnessed the energetic Wagah Border Ceremony, where the patriotic spirit was electrifying.

Amritsar was a perfect start—soulful, vibrant, and full of flavour.

Dharamsala – Peace, Mountains & Tibetan Culture

From the plains of Punjab, we moved into the serene Himalayas of Dharamsala. Being the home base of Manu Adventures India, we received the warmest hospitality here.

We visited:

  • Dalai Lama Temple
  • McLeod Ganj Market
  • Bhagsu Waterfall
  • Naddi Sunset Point

The cool weather, peaceful monasteries, and mountain views made Dharamsala our favourite stop.
A special thanks to Mr. Manu, who guided us personally and made sure we didn’t miss any hidden gems.

Delhi – A Walk Through India’s Grand History

Our next destination was the capital city, Delhi. With a well-planned itinerary, we comfortably explored the city without rushing.

Places we visited:

  • India Gate
  • Qutub Minar
  • Humayun’s Tomb
  • Lotus Temple
  • Raj Ghat
  • Red Fort (drive past)

The mix of Mughal architecture, modern streets, and vibrant markets made Delhi a memorable part of our journey.

Jaipur – The Royal Pink City Experience

Jaipur welcomed us with colours, culture, and royal charm. Manu Adventures India handled all hotel arrangements, guides, and travel seamlessly.

Our favourite experiences:

  • Exploring Amber Fort
  • Hawa Mahal photo stop
  • City Palace tour
  • Jantar Mantar Observatory
  • Rajasthani cultural night with folk dance

The grandeur of Jaipur’s palaces and forts truly made us feel like royalty.

Agra – Witnessing the Eternal Beauty of the Taj Mahal

Our final stop was Agra, home to one of the world’s greatest wonders. Seeing the Taj Mahal at sunrise with my wife was an emotional and unforgettable moment.

We also visited:

  • Agra Fort
  • Mehtab Bagh viewpoint
  • Local marble craft shops

A perfect finale to our 12-day adventure.

Why I Recommend Manu Adventures India

Throughout our journey, one thing stood out clearly: outstanding hospitality and professionalism.

What impressed us the most:

✔ The personal involvement of Mr. Manu, who was always just a message away

Manu Adventures India turned our trip into a beautiful lifetime memory.

MAKE IT YOUR OWN

Planning a North India family tour

Choose your pace

The featured trip took 12 days. Your ideal duration depends on arrival times, transport choices and the number of nights you want in each place. Allow breathing space between long transfers and major sightseeing days.

Match the route to your interests

Keep the full Amritsar–Dharamshala–Delhi–Jaipur–Agra route for variety, or focus on the Golden Triangle tour for Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. Ask about a mountain extension when you want more nature.

Plan around the season

City sightseeing and Himalayan trekking have different seasonal needs. Share your dates before choosing a trek: weather, snow, trail access and local restrictions determine which mountain walks are suitable.

Request a clear quotation

Tell us your group size, children’s ages, hotel preferences and preferred activity level. Your proposal should confirm transport, accommodation, guides, meals, entry fees and any optional activities before you book.
